There is one thing we want to do with our wines more than anything else and that is to inspire. We do this by working out the characteristics of each grape variety we cultivate right down to the smallest detail and by emphasising the typicity of their area of origin. With our extensive winegrowing expertise and passion, we cultivate ten typical Alto Adige grape varieties on terraces at challenging altitudes of up to 860 metres above sea level and select only the best hand-picked grapes for the production of our quality wines. The result is well-balanced, fresh mountain wines with a captivating aroma and elegance. Within three quality lines we produce characterful whites, typical varietal reds as well as a sweet dessert wine.

Grape variety: Lagrein
Vinification: Fermented in 8,000-litre oak barrels, the Puntay Lagrein is matured in barriques for 12 months and finalised in large French oak barrels.
Degustation: Intense ruby red colour; complex and fruity aroma with hints of cherries and blackberries. Tannins well present and harmonised by ageing in barriques. Full and persistent finish.
Dish ideas: Perfect with game, red meats and matured cheeses.
Service temperature: 15-16 °C
Storability: 10 years
